Start dates are determined after funding confirmation. Northrop
Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking an Electrical
Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in
defining the future. This position will be located in Melbourne,
FL. Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Multi-Domain Command and
Control (MDC2) business unit is developing cutting edge technology
that seamlessly analyzes, fuses, and distributes multi-domain
information into command-and-control systems of systems to support
all domains of war.
- Design, analyze, configure, test, document and troubleshoot
avionics equipment subsystems
- Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams and
specifications
- Collaborate with engineers and program stakeholders to
integrate avionics subsystems and components to meet platform
mission objectives
- Technical management of program strategic partners and
suppliers, including acceptance, qualification, system integration
and test support
- Requirements development, analysis, maturation and
implementation
- Perform informal and formal testing of subsystem requirementsA
successful Electrical Engineer has good leadership skills and
understands the scope of the work and the impact of the work on
other teams, consistently brings up concerns, issues and risks to
program and technical leadership and holds the team to a high level
of technical rigor. Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology,
Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited
university AND 2 years of related professional/military experience
in Engineering; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline from an
accredited university AND 0 years of related professional/military
experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. in STEM AND 0 years of
related professional/military experience in Engineering.
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance that is in-scope
(granted or renewed within the last 6 years).
- Demonstrated experience with aircraft cockpit avionics such as
flight displays, flight computers, control systems, data storage,
etc.
- Demonstrated experience with Control Account Management (CAM)
and a fundamental understanding of project cost, schedule and risk
managementPreferred Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain DoD TOP SECRET security clearance
- Experience with system modeling and requirements management
tools (Cameo, DOORS, Rhapsody, etc.), developing/maturing
requirements, and tracing requirements through various levels
- Experience with integration of COTS/MOTS electronics into
airborne military systems
- Experience with supplier team management, working on a
multidisciplinary team and/or writing and evaluating technical
proposals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the
ability to interface with all levels of employees, management and
customer representatives.
- Certified Control Account Manager (CCAM) certificationNorthrop

positions.Salary Range: $75,300 - $112,900The above salary range
represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers
a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the
scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's
experience, education, skills and current market
conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in
addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward
individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in
company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions
may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop
