Our amazing leadership team is committed to cultivating and maintaining an employee centric work environment where every employee has a voice and a platform to share their ideas and suggestions, are encouraged and incentivized to broaden their education and training and are invited to participate in the numerous employee activities offered monthly.Specialty Eye Associates is affiliated with Ascend Vision Partners premier network of Ophthalmic Medical Services.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Dispenses, make adjustments, and basic repairs to framesReviews and interpret Optometrist's/MD's prescriptionsOperates manual lensometer and other tools to achieve proper fittings for patientsEducates patients on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferencesProvides honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frameAchieves sales goals and quotas as determined by leadership while attending to patients' specific needs and desiresWorks with the Regional Optical Manager in maintaining inventory of frames to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and product varietyCommunicates with the appropriate provider with questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye-related issuesRequirements:Education & Experience:High School diploma or equivalent GED, requiredAssociates degree, preferred Minimum of two (2) years optical sales experience, requiredOptician license in Florida (preferred)Bilingual (English/Spanish), preferredKnowledge Skills & Abilities:Caring, helpful and professional demeanor and appearance.Proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteHands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)Solid written and verbal communication skills.Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues ariseExcellent organizational skillsMultitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks PHYSICAL ACTIVITY OF POSITION:Talking. This position requires expressing or exchanging ideas through the spoken word. This position must participate in activities to convey detailed or essential verbal instructions to physicians, staff, and vendors accurately and succinctly.Hearing. This position is required to perceive sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, including the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make the discriminations in sound.Repetitive motion. This position requires substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and fingers while working on reports on the computer.Sedentary work. This position may need to occasionally exert up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Walking and standing are required frequently and throughout the day.Visual Requirements. This position is required to have close visual acuity (with or without correction) to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and reading.Environmental Conditions.
